This year the market will have a donate money container for the Mukilteo Food Bank. At the end of the year we will deliver the donations to the food bank. Last year we collected $141.00!
The Women, Infants & Children Nutrition Program (WIC) & Seniors Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) will be available, once again, at the market. Families who participate in these programs will be able to redeem their checks at most of our farmer booths.
Due to the huge success of last years battery recycle program, the market will be collecting used batteries again. Bring your used batteries to the market and they will be properly disposed.
Forgot your bag? Recycled shopping bags are available (while supplies last) at the market entrance. If you have extra bags, drop them off so others can use them.
Each week the market will host a non-profit organization booth. This year’s line up includes: Mukilteo’s Police Department Crime Prevention Officer, Habitat for Humanity, Master Gardeners, Heifer International, and many more.
This Market is the result of incredible community support and the willingness of many people to engage in an experience.
Residents of Mukilteo and surrounding areas have an opportunity to meet, eat, and share stories, recipes and knowledge in a place dedicated to the cultivation of local products and talents. |
